JUROR
BRUCE KATSIFF, Director and CEO of the James A. Michener Art Museum since 1990, graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1968, earned his M.F.A. from Pratt Institute in 1973, and took seminars at Oxford University in 1985 and 1987. Previously the Chair for the Art and Music Department, Bucks County Community College, Mr. Katsiff has been involved in all aspects of the art world since 1970. He is also accredited with the National Association Schools of Art and Design, has established programs in Woodworking, Computer Graphics, and Glassblowing at Bucks County Community College and has been a Professor of Fine Art for over thirty years. He recently directed the development of the new Michener Art Museum Satellite in New Hope, the Patricia Pfundt Sculpture Garden, and the Mari Sabasawa Michener Wing. We welcome Mr. Katsiff to the list of outstanding jurors for the Ellarslie Open at the Trenton City Museum.

Other works not selected for the juried exhibit will be displayed in the Second Annual Salon des Refuses.

 

The Trenton City Museum at Ellarslie Mansion is owned by the City of Trenton, Douglas H. Palmer, Mayor, maintained and operated by the Department of Recreation, Natural Resources & Culture, Division of Culture. This program is made possible in part by the Mercer County Cultural and Heritage Commission through funding from the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment of the Arts, with additional support from the Trenton Museum Society.
