Battle Against Hunger Bike Tour
Arrival Festivities
September 13
4:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Battle Against Hunger is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising public awareness about hunger and assisting those who provide services to those in need. BAH has raised over $325,000.00 for hunger relief in the past 6 years.
The 2008 Bike Tour was a huge success. Over 20 riders traveled 200 miles to raise $70,000.00 and public awareness of the hunger problem in our area. This year, the bike tour will begin in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on September 11, 2009. The riders will travel over 200 miles in 3 days to arrive at Ellarslie on September 13.
The public is invited to join the celebration as the participants complete their incredible journey. There will be a scavenger hunt, music, food and beverage ($7 donation) beginning at 4:00 p.m. Register for the event on site, make a $5 donation, and get a T-shirt. Tour participants are expected to arrive between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. An arrival ceremony and awards will be presented at 5:30 p.m.
The museum will open at its regular time, 1:00 p.m. Come early and take a tour of the current exhibits.
If you would like to participate in some portion or all of the ride, contact chuck_inman@moma.org. If you would like to assist in this worthy cause, make a donation at the event on Sunday or visit the Battle Against Hunger web site and support the Trenton City Museum Ghost Rider. All proceeds go to organizations supported by Battle for Hunger.
